What is modern love?

Have you liked, swiped right, or favorited someone today? Social media and dating apps are changing the way people interact, date, love and engage in relationships. Your modern love story can begin without having to leave the comfort of your own home, develop over a series of Skype calls, and end with the abruptness of a text message. What does all of this mean for the future of love? Join us for this free TEDxABQ Salon | Modern Love, on Saturday, February 13th, 2016 at the Downtown Public Library auditorium from 2-4pm as we explore these conversations and more through TEDTalks, comedic relief, spoken word, a panel discussion, and—yes—face to face conversation.

Featured Talks

Pulled from TED and TEDx events all over the world, these talks formed the core of our conversation at TEDxABQSalon | Modern Love.

TEDxABQ Education is one of several annual events offered under the TEDxABQ umbrella. It is open to the public, but focuses specifically on education. In addition to TEDxABQWomen in May, TEDxYouth@ABQ in November, we also host TEDxABQ’s Biggest event in September.

Our Mission
TEDxABQ unlocks the creative & economic potential of New Mexicans through events that draw out inspiring ideas, generate meaningful connections and foster innovation.

Our History
TEDxABQ was formed by a team of volunteers in early 2010. Since then, we’ve hosted over 50 community events built around a passion for sharing great ideas. We believe strongly in the power of community, and we want you to be a part of it! Check our events page, partner with us, or volunteer.
